Terms and conditions
GENERAL
I understand that participating in outdoor activities involves a degree of personal risk, and that Tindaborg, its partners and their guides cannot absolutely guarantee my safety.
I understand that my tour takes place in a wilderness environment, and thus subject to changing environmental conditions that may, without warning, increase that level of risk within the activities in which I am participating; I further understand that participation in wilderness activities may render certain rescue opportunities ineffective or unavailable.
I understand that human error and/or equipment failure may increase the level of risk associated with the activities in which I will be participating.
I declare that I am physically fit to participate in the activities for which I have enrolled, and that I will inform my guide, prior the departure of any medical conditions and/or previous injuries that may be triggered or aggravated by such activities.
I agree to follow all rules and safety guidelines as instructed by my guides prior to, and/or during the trip.
I am not in any way under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, nor will I be at any time during this trip.
Tindaborg and its guides reserve the right to refuse service to anyone they deem unfit for participation in the activities for which they have enrolled. Tindaborg reserves the right to change the tour itinerary and/or chosen route with safety in mind due to environmental factors and other factors outside human control.
Tindaborg cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to personal property that I choose to bring with me while participating in activities.
I agree to let Tindaborg use any film or photographic record of my tour for promotional and/or commercial purposes.
I understand and acknowledge the risks I am undertaking by choosing to participate in activities, and assume all responsibility for exposing myself to these risks/dangers.

VALIDITY OF PRICES AND DEPARTURES
Prices are in Icelandic Krona (ISK) as shown on our web site. Prices and departures are guaranteed after full payment has been made.

All cancellations of tours must go through our office by email to tindaborgtours@gmail.com and we recommend you keep a copy of the email for future reference.

Cancellations for all other tours and courses must be made at least 7 days before the tour start time in order to receive a full refund.
We do not offer a refund if the client fails to show up for their tour. This applies even if the weather is bad, in case that we are able to do the trip.
In case of road closures, e.g. due to bad weather, which might prevent you from getting to the meeting point, please contact us and we will work out a solution.

SUMMIT ATTEMPTS
Tindaborg cannot guarantee that you will reach the summit on any of our summit trips. Weather, route conditions, your own abilities, or the abilities of other climbers may create circumstances that make an ascent unsafe, and you or your entire group may have to turnaround without reaching the summit.
Failure to reach the summit due to a person’s own lack of fitness or to any of the events associated with mountaineering (such as weather, route conditions, avalanche hazard, team dynamics, etc.), are not Tindaborg's responsibility and will not result in a refund, credit, or reschedule.

INSURANCE
Participants in all Tindaborg tours have a basic insurance. We still advise all our clients to a personal travel insurance.

Tindaborg does not assume responsibility for accidents or death that can be traced to the participant´s negligence, acts of third parties or exterior circumstances such as weather, natural occurrences, war or other similar causes.
